There are short-term visa (for stays up to 90 days) and long-term visa (for stays over 90 days). Students arriving for a period longer than 3 months can also apply for a long-term residence permit for study purposes. The following documents are mainly required for receiving a student visa or a residence permit:
- A valid passport and passport photos
- A letter of acceptance for studies
- A proof of financial resources for the stay ( At least a well furnished account running into 3 million naira should be okay enough)
- A valid international health insurance
Please note that some documents must be translated into Polish language by a translator with an official rubber stamp. Both translated copies of the documents should be legalized in the various Ministry.
- The health Insurance should be obtained at any recognized Insurance company and be translated.
- The O level result should be authenticated at the Ministry of Education Abuja ( Abuja secretariat)
- The medical fitness test Result comprising HIV/ AIDS status should be conducted at a recognized Hospital in Nigeria and be satisfied by the Ministry of health Abuja ( Abuja secretariat)
- THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE INCLUDING THE ABOVE MENTIONED DOCUMENTS SHOULD BE TAKING FOR LEGALIZATION AT THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
These documents are not only required at the embassy by the consulate but necessary that you come with them to Poland while coming. Any attempt to leave them behind might prevent you from entry into Poland.
